For your typical Chinese joint this is pretty awesome. No, it's not authentic Chinese food like I had while in China. But let's get real, 90% of Chinese restaurants aren't. With that said, tonight was one of our "let's be chubby and jolly" heck no to salad nights so we got delivery to our hotel. No shame. *free and quick delivery, food was still hot to touch *in house made mustard sauce (SO yummy. Not in packets) *in house hot chili sauce *Egg rolls are fat and the filling tastes fresh (not like the typical canned dog food stuff) *Fried rice that comes with the combos is more like seasoned steamed rice. Not your typical brown looking rice. *LoMein was really good. It was made with thick udon style noodles, not the typical cheap ones. *fried wontons were THE BOMB. So fresh, crisp, and huge. DIp one in sweet & sour sauce, fuggetaboutit! *orange chicken was fresh and flavorful. Not soggy and crusty. *staff is friendly, answers questions, and speaks English *you can order off their website and see pictures of what you're getting greatwalltogo.com/menu *if you go to menu and then under "Miscellaneous" on their website, click on "Extras" you can order forks/spoons/etc. free of charge. Even plates! This is helpful for someone like me who is staying at a hotel. Get the sauces under condiments. *MASSIVE portions. 2 combos = 4 meals. *packaged well, neatly, and efficiently for delivery *two combinations (2 main dishes, side dishes, rice, and egg rolls), fried wontons, and egg drop soup came to $25.7x with free delivery plus tip.

I don't live in Rapid City, but my family does and every time I visit, we always end up having lunch or dinner here. I've been here probably 3 or 4 times. It's their favorite! For an American Chinese restaurant, I would have to say that the quality of their food is juuust above average. Compared to the many other Chinese restaurants I've been to, this one is very clean, inviting, and the food is presented very well. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the orders. Also, the service is great. It may be that my family are regulars here, but for the service they've provided every time, I have to give them 4 stars. They're always welcoming and accommodating, so kudos to them!

There was no flavor to the sesame chicken or General Tso's. We were very disappointed.

I think this place is getting kind of a bum rap on here. I mean, yeah, it's "typical Chinese delivery" fare. But it was hot, and tasty, and came fast. My husband's Kung Pao beef was pretty good, but I really liked my Moo-shi with pork. It's something I would get again. Also, the sesame balls we got for dessert were VERY well done! Our only complaint was that we didn't get any rice with our order - I thought his beef dish was supposed to come with some. Oh well, overall we were happy :)

We came here for lunch with our son and his gf. Their lunch specials are outstanding! I had the sesame chicken, my husband had the orange chicken, gf had princess chicken. It was all amazing. he lunch specials come with your choice of soup and appetizer. I would definitely eat here again!

Great Wall gave me a credit for a dish that I didn't care for. I thought that was pretty cool of them. They remedied the situation and I am appreciative of that. At first there was a lot of push back which I didn't think was appropriate to treat someone that way who has been ordering from them very regularly. In the end they made it right. Thank you Great Wall. Your food has always been top shelf.

A nice selection of Chinese and Thai food, quick service, and good food! We ordered from the lunch menu, which included soup and spring or veggie rolls. We were in and out in about an hour and very pleased with our meals.

This is officially the worst Chinese I've ever had. My wife and I ordered delivery and we should have ordered a pizza. I had the general chicken, she had the sesame chicken and they both tasted exactly the same. Like a chicken nugget wrapped in corn dog breading. No flavor at all. It was the weirdest thing. $30 down the tubes. Don't eat here.

This is the worst general tso I've ever had the displeasure of eating. It's soggy and tastes like it was made hours ago. I've had better chicken off of a cheap buffet. I'll never eat here again.

Great Wall is definately the best chinese food in Rapid City... I have tried all them and this one has the best menu, Won Ton Soup delicious compared the rest, and well just tastes more fresh. I also like the decor and also the bathrooms are really nice at this chinese restaurant...anyways I will definately come back

Stopped in here twice let me tell you something Great Wall gives generous portions. Greeted friendly and quite shockingly an Asian woman I was expecting an All-American twist on Chinese food, honestly. Well no more surprises our party of 3 was ready to eat after a long day of driving and work. We each ordered separate meals as we were unaware of the portion sizes. Soups, rice, noodles, beef and broccoli, shrimp it looked like a smorgasbord on the small table. We all exchanged plates as if it were a family get together passing plates amongst each other and enjoying the company. I enjoyed each entree the rice especially needless to say we had extra and after a few sake flights the night was over...or so I thought.

The service here is so good! I don't really like Chinese but a lot of my friends do, so we frequent this restaurant a lot. I ordered the "tidbit platter" the other night and it came out served in a magnificent dish with a fire in the middle.Awesome (:

We really like this restaurant. I'd recommend the Moo Shu Pork or the Peking Duck which I don't think is on the menu (?) but you have to order 24 hours in advance. The only place in Rapid City that you can do so.

Ordered delivery after 8 hours on the road. Not being from SD, we weren't sure what to order and found Great Wall by Google search. We had the Mandarin Lo Mein, shrimp Lo Mein and Crab Rangoon. I eat a lot of Chinese and this was, by far, some of the best I've tasted. The food was very well - spiced and flavorful. It was delivered piping hot by a very courteous delivery person. The portions were tremendous! Even as hungry as we were, we could only eat about half! I will order from Great Wall again! Great value!

Just plain bad food. We ordered delivery as we were beat from a day on the road. The food came fast, but after a couple of bites we threw it away. Don't waste your money.

We ordered delivery. Very much on time. I ordered Pad Thai (which I should not have, from a Chinese restaurant). It was blasted with sugar and cooked in what tasted like,"old" oil. Strangely enough, the shrimp was okay. The other dish was Cashew Chicken. It was sugared also and drowning in it's gravy. Not a good dining experience However, they are very pleasant people.

We ordered for delivery being new in town not knowing what to expect we took our chances. The food was dull and far from fresh. The dumplings tasted like something out of the freezer section. I was greatly disappointed and am hoping to find something better in town.

they really like their brown sauces. i actually prefer great wall over imperial, even though they're owned by the same people (at least they used to be). they tend to add more vegetables to dishes, which i like.

While not a buffet, the servings are quite large and can easily be shared around the table. My mother-in-law is on a gluten free diet and they gladly prepared something special for her. I had the orange beef which was excellent!

Ordered delivery to the hotel. Exactly what you expect of Chinese delivery. Nothing special, but good enough. Huge portions. Don't put leftovers in a mini fridge, the smell will make you wish you never ate the stuff! Ugh...why do Chinese leftovers smell so stinky?

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
